Linux server reboots and updates

On Thursday May 11th and Friday May 12th, DELTA staff will be rebooting Linux servers for system and security updates. This work will cause some brief (<10 minute) outages to WolfWare, WolfWare WordPress, DELTA websites, and DELTA Testing Center applications.
DELTA Fortigate Firewall Updates

On Tuesday, May 9th, between 7:00 am and noon, DELTA staff will be updating the Fortigate firewall appliances. Due to the redundant nature of the system we do not expect any outages during this work, but there may be a brief (<30 sec) interruption when the routes shift from one appliance to the other.
Update vSphere environment

On Tuesday, May 9th, between noon and 6:00pm, DELTA staff will be updating the VMWare vSphere environment. Due to the distributed nature of the environment, we do not anticipate any service interruptions during this work.
DELTA Load Balancer Updates

On Monday, May 8th, between 8:00 am and noon, DELTA staff will be updating the distributed load balancers. Due to the distributed nature of the load balancers we do not anticipate any service interruptions during this work.
Mediasite service decommission

On Tuesday, May 16, DELTA staff will perform the final decommissioning of the Mediasite service. All Mediasite videos have been migrated to Panopto, and Mediasite has been turned off for over a year now. If you have any links that still reference Mediasite or have trouble finding any videos that were originally in Mediasite please contact the LearnTech helpdesk.
Moodle Updates (Courses2324)

On Saturday, April 8th, between 7 and 10 am DELTA staff will be performing updates to Moodle Courses2324. There will be brief (< 5 minute) outage. We do not expect the work to take the entire time but reserve the larger window for unexpected incidents.

On Saturday, April 8th, between 7 and 10 am DELTA staff will be performing updates to all current Moodle instances (Courses2223, Projects, and Outreach). Requesting WolfWare Spaces for Summer and Fall Courses

DELTA Load Balancer updates

On Monday, March 13th, between 8am and noon, DELTA staff will be updating the load balancer software. Due to the redundant nature of the system we do not expect any noticeable interruptions during this work.
Network switch replacement

On Monday, March 13th, between 10am and noon, DELTA staff will be replacing the network switches that connect with the datacenter networks. Due to the redundant nature of the project we do not expect any outages, although users may notice a network blip or need to refresh their browsers when accessing DELTA services including WolfWare, Moodle, and WolfWare WordPress when the traffic moves from one switch to the other.

On Saturday, February 11th, between 7:00 and 11:00 am, DELTA staff will be performing updates to the Moodle service. During this time there will be brief (<10 minute) outages of each of the Moodle services (courses, projects, and outreach).

On Saturday, January 14th, between 7 and 10am, DELTA staff will be updating the Moodle servers. No major interruptions are expected, but each Moodle service (courses, projects, and outreach) will have short (<10 minute) interruptions. While we do not expect to use the whole time, the larger window is reserved for unexpected issues.
DELTA - network and storage updates

On Tuesday, 01/03/2023, between 6:00 and 11:00 am, DELTA staff will be performing maintenance updates to our enterprise storage environments and firewalls. Due to the redundant nature of the systems we do not expect any outages to DELTA services, but a degradation is possible if an unexpected issue occurs.

On Tuesday, 12/20/2022, between 8:00 and 11:00 am, DELTA staff will be applying updates to the network load balancers for the DELTA run services, including WolfWare, Moodle, and WolfWare WordPress. While we do not expect any major interruptions, here may be a brief outage to DELTA services during this time.

On Tuesday, 12/20/2022, from 1:00 - 5:00 pm, DELTA staff will be performing updates to the Moodle server environment. These updates will affect all Moodle servers, Courses, Outreach, and Projects, and will involve brief (< 15 minute) outages of each Moodle server stack.

Zoom Retention Policy
