On Saturday, August 26th, between 7:00am and 9:00am, DELTA staff will be applying an update to the Moodle service.  This update will be applied to Courses, Projects, and Outreach servers, and will cause a brief (<5 minute) outage while the update is being applied.  We do not anticipate any extended interruption to the service.

On Tuesday, August 8th, between 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm, DELTA staff will be performing maintenance on the Moodle service, including Courses, Projects, and Outreach. There will be minor updates applied for a number of Moodle plugins on all servers, and the WooClap plugin will be added to the Courses server. There will be a brief (<5 minute) interruption to each Moodle service when they are restarted as part of the update process.

On Tuesday, August 8th, between 9:00 am and 12:00 pm, DELTA staff will be performing maintenance on the current Moodle Courses server (Courses 2324). We will be migrating the Moodle Courses 2324 file share to new NAS (Network Attached Storage) platform. There will be on outage of Moodle Courses 2324 only during this time. This work will not affect the Projects or Outreach services or older Moodle archives.

On Tuesday, August 8th, between 7:00 am and 9:00 am, DELTA staff will be updating the load balancers to the latest build.  Due to the redundant nature of the system, we do not anticipate any interruption of service during this work.

On Monday, August 7th, between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, DELTA systems staff will be performing power work on the DELTA back end systems. Due to this work, Moodle, WolfWare, WolfWare WordPress, and other DELTA-run services will be offline for an extended period.

On Saturday Morning, 7/29/23 we will be performing a backend migration of the file shares supporting the Moodle Projects and Moodle Outreach instances.  Both Moodle Projects and Moodle Outreach will be offline while this process completes.  Downtime of up to two hours for each instance is possible.  There are no user facing changes with this migration.  This migration is part of decommissioning an older file storage platform that will soon go out of support. 

Note:  No Moodle Courses instances will be impacted during this maintenance.  We will schedule a later maintenance windows for these.

On Friday, June 30th, between 4:45pm and 5:00pm, DELTA staff will be performing updates to the WolfWare website. No interruptions to the site are expected during this work.

On Saturday, June 17th, between 7:00am and 10:00am, DELTA staff will be updating the Brickfield accessibility plugin in Moodle and applying a number of minor changes.  There will be a brief (<5 minute) interruption to each Moodle service (Courses, Outreach, and Projects) during this time, but no extended outages are expected.

On Saturday, June 17th, between 6:00am and 10:00am, DELTA staff will be migrating the Advanced Load Balancer service engines to a new virtual machine cluster.  There is not expected to be any interruption to DELTA services during this work.

On Saturday, June 3, between 7:00 am and 9:00 am DELTA staff will be performing updates to the Moodle service. There will be a brief (<5 minute) interruption of each Moodle service (Courses, Projects, and Outreach). We do not expect any significant downtime of the service.

DELTA staff have identified some updates to Moodle 4.1 which need to be applied ASAP. DELTA staff will apply the updates Wednesday, May 24th, between 4:00pm and 4:20pm. No interruptions to service are expected.

On Tuesday, May 9th, between 11:00 am and 11:30 am, DELTA staff will be updating the current Moodle Courses service (Courses2223) to version 4.1.3 and apply several minor updates.  There will be a brief (<10 minute) interruption to the service during this time.

On Monday, May 8th, between 1:00 pm and 5:00 pm, DELTA staff will be upgrading the Moodle Projects and Outreach services.  Both services will see substantial (1-2 hour) outages during this time.

On Thursday, May 11th, between 1:00pm and 1:15pm, DELTA staff will be performing updates to the WolfWare website.  We do not anticipate any service interruption during this time.

On Thursday May 11th and Friday May 12th, DELTA staff will be rebooting Linux servers for system and security updates.  This work will cause some brief (<10 minute) outages to WolfWare, WolfWare WordPress, DELTA websites, and DELTA Testing Center applications.

On Tuesday, May 9th, between 7:00 am and noon, DELTA staff will be updating the Fortigate firewall appliances.  Due to the redundant nature of the system we do not expect any outages during this work, but there may be a brief (<30 sec) interruption when the routes shift from one appliance to the other.

On Tuesday, May 16, DELTA staff will perform the final decommissioning of the Mediasite service.  All Mediasite videos have been migrated to Panopto, and Mediasite has been turned off for over a year now.  If you have any links that still reference Mediasite or have trouble finding any videos that were originally in Mediasite please contact the LearnTech helpdesk.
