Zoom Updates

On Friday, March 5th, between 5pm and 6pm, DELTA staff will be making updates to the Zoom environment. These updates will not cause any interruption to the Zoom service, however users who are using a Zoom client older than version 5.4 will be forced to upgrade their client.

Moodle Maintenance

On Saturday, March 6th, between 6am and 9am DELTA staff will be performing maintenance on the Moodle service. While we do not anticipate a major interruption, there will be a short (5-10 minute) interruption during this time.

Zoom Shibboleth Login Issues

Around 1:15pm DELTA began receiving reports of errors when logging into Zoom via Shibboleth. Not all users are seeing this error. The error you see may be:

NC State Shibboleth Login - Message Security Error The request cannot be fulfilled because the message received does not meet the security requirements of the login service.

This is a problem from Zoom and we are in contact with them to correct the issue.

As an alternative log in method you can use your NC State Google account to login to Zoom. On the Zoom webpage ncsu.zoom.us there is a "Log in with Google" link in the footer. From the regular Zoom login page or the app you select the Google login option instead of SSO.

Moodle Maintenance

DELTA staff will be performing minor maintenance to all Moodle instances (courses, projects, and outreach) on Saturday, February 20, between 7 and 10 am.  There will be a brief (5-10 minute) interruption to the services during this time.

"access denied" for some Mediasite users

some Mediasite users are having playback issue in Chrome

A recent Chrome update is causing playback issues for some users in Chrome and Edge. There are two workarounds: 1) use Firefox, Safari, or Brave 2) append "?useHTML5=true" (no quotes) to the end of the presentation URL.<br /> <br /> There is an update to Mediasite that fixes this and it is currently scheduled to be installed in December.

Moodle 2021 Courses file upload issues (resolved)

Around 9:30am, two of the web hosts that support the Moodle Courses 2021 instance experienced a software exception that prevented some file uploads from occurring. The affected servers have been isolated, and uploads should be functioning normally at this time.
