OIT Extended Maintenance may affect DELTA services

OIT will be performing an Extended Maintenance on their datacenters and network March 3-4. As DELTA services including WolfWare, Moodle, Mediasite, and Collaborate use OIT run services for authentication (particularly Shibboleth and WolfTech AD) there may be times when users are unable to log into our services over the weekend. Moodle Maintenance

DELTA staff will be performing maintenance on the Moodle servers the morning of Monday, March 5th. The moodle-projects and moodle-outreach services will have a couple of minutes outage (<5 minutes) while switching over DNS aliases. There should be no interruption of the courses servers.

WolfWare/Moodle issues

DELTA has received reports of users having difficulty performing certain functions within Moodle and Wolfware. We believe this was related to a filesystem that filled up due to an automated copy operation. The filesystem size has been increased and services should be responding normally.
Wolfware issues

Moodle forum emails

There was an issues with a server that caused Moodle forum emails to not be sent. DELTA staff has investigated the problem and a fix is in place. As of 9pm yesterday 11/8, forum emails seem to be flowing correctly again and all backlog should have been processed and sent. If you have any subsequent problems please let DELTA know.

Moodle PDF conversion temporarily disabled

Conversion of Moodle Assignment files to PDFs for annotated grading has been temporarily disabled. Problems started showing late Sunday / early Monday with the conversions hanging and it is now negatively impacting the whole Moodle service.<br /> <br /> DELTA staff are investigating the problem but we currently have no estimate when this feature will be turned back on.
some Mediasite users were unable to view presentation

Around 1pm today, some Mediasite users were unable to view their presentations. This was caused by system administrator error. We do apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
