Moodle 2021 Courses file upload issues (resolved)

Around 9:30am, two of the web hosts that support the Moodle Courses 2021 instance experienced a software exception that prevented some file uploads from occurring. The affected servers have been isolated, and uploads should be functioning normally at this time.

As Zoom has previously communicated, starting September 27, 2020, all meetings will be required to have a Passcode or Waiting Room enabled. WolfWare mail routing cleanup

On Tuesday, 1 September 2020, DELTA and the Google Service Team will be removing the configuration and servers that supported the WolfWare Email Lists. WolfWare Email Lists were a transition from WolfWare Classic Email Lists, but were replaced by WolfWare Google Groups in March 2019.<br /> <br /> No impact on users is expected. The configuration and management of WolfWare Google Groups will not be changed.

On Saturday, August 15th from 6 to 9 am DELTA staff will be performing some minor maintenance on networking infrastructure equipment. Due to the redundant nature of the systems we do not expect there to be any interruption of service.

Zoom Maintenance - Login Security Enhancement

On Saturday, June 27, the email-with-password login option for Zoom is being deactivated for NC State users. This reduces the available login options to those that support two-factor authentication: SSO (Shibboleth) and Google. The vast majority of users already use Shibboleth to log in, so we do not expect this change to negatively impact most people. This change will not affect external users invited to Zoom sessions. No downtime is planned or expected for this change to be applied.

Zoom 5.0 required on May 30th

Starting May 30th, Zoom clients earlier than version 5.0 will no longer be able to join meetings. This is due to improvements in the message encryption protocol used by Zoom. If you have not upgraded the Zoom client to version 5.0 or later, when you attempt to connect to Zoom on or after May 30th, you will be prompted to upgrade.

search based channels not displaying all presentations

It's taking some time for new presentations to display in search based channels. We have a case open with the vendor and are looking into it. This is the same issue that has occurred recently.
