FLP 401 Brazilian Portuguese for Spanish Speakers Section: 601
A one semester on-line intensive introductory course to Brazilian Portuguese for Spanish speakers taught in Spanish focusing on the development of: 1) Reading Comprehension in Brazilian Portuguese; 2) Basic translation skills: Spanish>Portuguese>Spanish; 3) Colloquial writing skills in Brazilian Portuguese; 4) Basic speaking ability in Brazilian Portuguese. This course is open to undergraduate, graduate and extension students with a formal knowledge of Spanish who fulfill the prerequisite. Instructor approval required.
Message From Instructor
The course aims to jump-start your knowledge of Brazilian Portuguese through your knowledge of Spanish. Emphasis is placed on learning the differences rather than the similarities between the two languages.

No lab or problem session is required.

Proctored exams are required. Exams will be administered at DELTA Testing Services. Students living more than 50 miles from campus may petition for off-campus exam administration. Contact DELTA Testing Services for additional information. Approval for off-campus exam administration is at the instructors discretion.
