Course Description
Serves as the introduction to the Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE) minor. Explores the scope and methods of constituent disciplines and interdisciplinary nature of PPE. Investigates critical questions in social organization, ethical living, and political and economic life such as the meaning of democracy, justice, equality, freedom, and prosperity and the proper role of institutions like constitutions, markets, governments, and the criminal justice system. Applications to critical issues such as immigration, social welfare, taxation, race, and the environment.
