Course Description
Introduction to tropical meteorology using phenomenological examples. Thermodynamic structure of the mean tropical atmosphere, Hadley circulation, equatorial waves and the Madden Julian oscillation, El Nino-Southern oscillation, monsoons and tropical cyclones.
