Course Description
Laboratory experience to complement MB 311. Students will gain hands-on experience with methods of culturing, identifying, and safe handling of pathogenic microorganisms. We will use clinical lab identification and research strategies to diagnose infection, track disease outbreaks, and answer research questions of clinical importance. Students should have previous experience with aseptic technique, micropipetting, and basic microbiological culturing methods.
